[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1912, June 22, 1957 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS ONE AND TWO OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TRECE MARTIRES, RELATIVE TO THE TERRITORY AND BOUNDARY OF SAID CITY.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Sections one and two of Republic Act Numbered Nine hundred eighty-one, otherwise known as the Charter of the City of Trece Martires, are amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1. Incorporation, powers.—The territory located at or near the intersection of the Tanza-Indang Road and the proposed Naic-Dasmariñas Road, in the Province of Cavite, the exact boundaries and limits of which are described in the next succeeding section, shall be a political subdivision to be known as the City of Trece Martires, and by that name shall have perpetual succession; have and use a common seal which it may alter at pleasure; sue and be sued, and prosecute and defend to final judgment and execution; take, purchase, receive, hold, lease, convey, and dispose of real and personal property, for the benefit of the city, within or without its corporate limits; contract and be contracted with; and execute all the powers hereinafter conferred, as well as those generally and ordinarily conferred upon chartered cities.

"SEC. 2. Boundary.—The boundary and limits of the territory of said City are established and prescribed as follows:

Beginning at Point MBM No. 1, Municipal Boundary monument of Tanza-Indang; goes westward thru MBM No. 2, MBM No. 3, MBM No. 4, to Point Bdry. Corner 5 of Tanza-Indang MPL. Bdry; goes northward along the east bank of Kay Alamang River, to Point BLM 110, corner Point of Lot 2206, S. C. de Malabon est.; goes eastward, to Point 6 of present XIII Martires City Bdry; goes northward thru Points 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16, to Point 30 of Lot 2845, S. F. de Malabon est.; goes eastward, to Point 78 of Lot 2599, S. F. de Malabon est.; goes southward along the west bank of Pulonan River, to Point 81 of Lot 2599, S. F. de Malabon est.; crosses the Pulonan River to Point 21 of Lot 3305, S. F. de Malabon est.; goes southward along the east bank of Pulonan River to Point 10 of Lot 3305, S. F. de Malabon est.; goes eastward to Point 8 of Lot 3238, S. F. de Malabon est.; to Point 9 of Lot 3238, S. F. de Malabon est.; to Point 76 of Lot 3193, S. F. de Malabon est.; crossing a creek; to Point 67 of Lot 8193 S. F. de Malabon est.; along the east bank of a creek; to Point 66 of Lot 3193, S. F. de Malabon est.; goes southward along the west bank of Panay-sayan River to Point 19 of Lot 2949, S. F. de Malabon est.; to Point BLM 234, goes westward thru BLM's 235, 182 and 185; to Point 1 of Lot 3090, S. F. de Malabon est.; crosses Canas River to Point 185 of Lot 2116, S. C. de Malabon est.; goes southward along the west bank of Canas River to point Bdry. Corner 822, Tanza-Indang MPL. Bdry.; to Point of beginning MBM No. 1, MPL. Bdry. monument of Tanza-Indang Road; containing an area of 3,917.60 hectares more or less. Bearings true: Provided, That the President of the Philippines may, notwithstanding the provisions of existing law to the contrary, by executive order extend the territorial limits of the said city.

The Provincial Board of Cavite shall have power to purchase, accept gifts or donations of, or institute expropriation proceedings concerning, such lands as may be within the territory of the City for the general interest of the City or for public use."
SEC. 2. The sum of fifteen thousand pesos is appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the final delimitation of the boundary of the City of Trece Martires including the placing of monuments.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
