[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1938, June 22, 1957 ]

AN ACT TO DECLARE WAR SURPLUS EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES ACQUIRED BY THE BUREAU OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS FROM THE UNITED STATES FOREIGN LIQUIDATION COMMISSION AND THE FORMER SURPLUS PROPERTY COMMISSION AS PERMANENTLY TRANSFERRED TO THAT BUREAU WITHOUT COSTS.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. All war surplus property consisting of equipment, materials and supplies, acquired by the Bureau of Telecommunications from the United States Foreign Liquidation Commission and the defunct Surplus Property Commission, including those previously acquired by the Bureau of Posts from such commissions and later transferred to the Bureau of Telecommunications, are hereby declared permanently transferred to the Bureau of Telecommunications without cost, provisions of existing laws, executive orders or regulations to the contrary notwithstanding.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
