[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6309, June 19, 1971 ]
AN ACT CONVERTING THE SOUTH PROVINCIAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF AGOO, PROVINCE OF LA UNION, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE SOUTHERN LA UNION NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The South Provincial High School in the Municipality of Agoo, Province of La Union is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Southern La Union National High School. General and practical arts courses relevant to the locality shall be offered in said school.
SEC. 2. Upon the organization of the Southern La Union National High School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the South Provincial High School shall stand transferred to this new national high school.
SEC. 3. The sum of two hundred fifty thousand pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of said school during the fiscal year nineteen hundred seventy-one, in addition to other revenues it may collect.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
