[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9414, March 24, 2007 ]
AN ACT DECLARING JUNE 19 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF NORTHERN SAMAR TO COMMEMORATE ITS FOUNDATION DAY
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. June 19 of every year is hereby declared a special nonworking holiday in the Province of Northern Samar to commemorate its foundation day.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on February 5, 2006 and February 7, 2007 respectively.
