[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2209, May 15, 1959 ]

AN ACT AMENDING SECTION TWENTY-TWO OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR A JUSTICE OF THE PEACE COURT INSTEAD OF A MUNICIPAL COURT FOR THE CITY OF TRECE MARTIRES.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The first paragraph of section twenty-two of Republic Act Numbered Nine hundred eighty-one is amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 22. Justice of the peace court.—There shall be a justice of the peace court for the city for which there shall be appointed a justice of the peace and an auxiliary justice of the peace."
SEC. 2. Whenever the terms "municipal court," "municipal judge" and "auxiliary municipal judge" appear in Republic Act Numbered Nine hundred eighty-one and in any other law in connection with the inferior court in the City of Trece Martires, the same shall mean the justice of the peace court, the justice of the peace and the auxiliary justice of the peace, respectively, hereinabove mentioned.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
