[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6354, June 19, 1971 ]
AN ACT CONVERTING SOUTHERN LEYTE GENERAL HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAASIN, PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE, INTO A NATIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. Southern Leyte General Hospital in the Municipality of Maasin, Province of Southern Leyte, is hereby converted into a national general hospital to be known as Southern Leyte National General Hospital.
SEC. 2. In addition to the present appropriation for the Southern Leyte General Hospital, the sum of four hundred thousand pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred seventy-two. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
