[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6356, June 19, 1971 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING KLING BARRIO HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KIAMBA, PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS KLING NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Kling Barrio High School in the Municipality of Kiamba, Province of South Cotabato, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as Kling National High School.  The curriculum which includes both academic and industrial arts and handicraft courses shall be offered.  The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly.

SEC. 2. Upon organization of Kling National High School, the personnel, equipment and records of Kling Barrio High School shall be transferred to said Kling National High School.

SEC. 3. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of said school in addition to the matriculation and tuition fees and other revenue for the fiscal year nineteen hundred seventy.  Such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
