[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 704, May 14, 1952 ]
AN ACT CONVERTING THE SORSOGON TRADE SCHOOL AND THE PANGASINAN TRADE SCHOOL TO NATIONAL SCHOOLS OF ARTS AND TRADES, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The Sorsogon Trade School and the Pangasinan Trade School are hereby converted to national schools of arts and trades, of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades type. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said schools accordingly.
SEC. 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said schools during the school year nineteen hundred fifty-two to nineteen hundred fifty-three. The necessary funds for the purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
