[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1590, June 16, 1956 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS AS AID TO THE PHILIPPINE AMATEUR ATHLETIC FEDERATION FOR THE EXPENSES IT WILL INCUR IN THE OLYMPICS OF NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-SIX WHICH WILL BE HELD IN MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, as aid to the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation for the expenses it will incur in the Olympics of nineteen hundred and fifty-six which will be held in Melbourne, Australia.

SEC. 2. The funds herein appropriated shall be disbursed through the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation with the approval of the President of the Philippines, subject to the established rules and regulations covering the expenditures of public funds and that all unexpended balances shall revert to the general fund.    

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
