[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1586, June 16, 1956 ]

AN ACT TO CONVERT THE LEODEGARIO VICTORINO HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIKINA, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, INTO AN INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES TO BE KNOWN AS THE MARIKINA SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Leodegario Victorino High School located in the Municipality of Marikina, Province of Rizal, is converted to an industrial school of arts and trades, to be known as the Marikina School of Arts and Trades. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly.

SEC. 2. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds of the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the Marikina School of Arts and Trades during the school year 1955-1956. Thereafter, the same amount shall be included in the General Appropriation Act.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
