[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1611, August 23, 1956 ]
AN ACT TO CONVERT THE PHILIPPINE MISSION IN TOKYO, JAPAN, INTO THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY, PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The Philippine Special Mission in Tokyo, Japan, is hereby converted into a Philippine Diplomatic Mission, with the category of an Embassy, and the sum of one hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise appropriated for supplemental personnel and adjustment of appropriations thereof.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
