[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6376, August 16, 1971 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE CALAMBA EMERGENCY HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CALAMBA, PROVINCE OF LAGUNA, INTO A GENERAL HOSPITAL TO BE KNOWN AS DR. JOSE RIZAL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Calamba Emergency Hospital in the Municipality of Calamba, Province of Laguna, is hereby converted into a general hospital to be known as Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital.

SEC. 2. The sum of five hundred thousand pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, construction, operation, maintenance and acquisition of site and equipment of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred seventy-one.  Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
