[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6385, August 16, 1971 ]
AN ACT STANDARDIZING THE SALARIES OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE BUREAU OF MINES, AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. Any provision of law, executive order, rule or regulation to the contrary notwithstanding, the salaries of officials and employees of the Bureau of Mines are hereby fixed as follows:
SEC. 3. In order to carry out the provisions of this Act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1970, the Director of Mines with the approval of the Commissioner of the Budget, is hereby authorized to charge the salary differentials of the officials and employees whose salaries are herein standardized against any savings of the Bureau of Mines and the Mines Special Fund. Thereafter, the said sums shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SEC. 4. The incumbents of the positions at the time of the approval of this Act, whose salaries are herein standardized shall automatically be entitled to the benefits hereof without the need of another appointment.
SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

- Mining Project Coordinator, Chief Geologist, Chief Petroleum Geologist, Chief Mining Engineer, Chief Metallurgist, Head Geodetic Engineer, Chief Legal Officer, Administrative Officer, Chief Accountant and Chief Budget Officer, and the Mines Regional Officers at the salary rate of WAPCO range 66, per annum;
- Assistant Chief Geologist, Assistant Chief Mining Engineer, Assistant Chief Metallurgist, and Assistant Chief Legal Officer, at the salary rate of WAPCO range 63, per annum;
- Supervising Geologist II, Supervising Mining Engineer, Supervising Metallurgist, Supervising Economist, Supervising Geodetic Engineer II, Senior Legal Officer, at the salary rate of WAPCO range 60, per annum;
- Supervising Geologist I, Supervising Geodetic Engineer I, Senior Mining Engineer, Senior Metallurgist, Legal Officer III, Senior Research Chemist, and Chief Chemist II, at the salary rate of WAPCO range 57, per annum;
- Senior Geologists, Senior Paleonthologist, Senior Economist, Senior Electrical Engineer, Senior Executive Assistant, Senior Geodetic Engineer, Metallurgist II, Research Chemist II, Senior Corporation Auditing Examiner, Trial Attorney II, at the salary rate of WAPCO range 54, per annum;
- Geologists, Paleontologists, Geodetic Engineer, Mining Engineer, Metallurgist, Supervising Information Officer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Executive Assistant, Accountant III, Administrative Assistant III, Legal Officer II, Budget Officer I, Research Chemist I, Supervising Chemist, Head Computer, Personnel Officer I, Geophysicist, Assistant Mechanical-Electrical Engineer, at the salary rate of WAPCO range 50, 'per annum;
- Mineral Analyst, Chief, Records Section, Chief, Property and Supply Section, Corporation Auditing Examiner, Chief, General Services Section, Chief, Fiscal Section, Chief, Collection and Disbursement Section, Statistician II, Chief, Bookkeeping Section, Chief, Revenue and Records Section, Administrative Assistants, Chief, Library Section, Legal Officer I, Budget Examiner II, Supervising Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper II, at a salary rate of WAPCO range 47, per annum;
- Junior Geodetic Engineer, Information Editor, Supply Officer I, Statistician I, Senior Personnel Aide, Chemist I, Disbursing Officer, Senior Cartographer, Budget Examiner I, Bookkeeper I, Fiscal Examiner I, Records Officer I, Assistant Board Secretary, Senior Cartographer, Supervising Computer, Secretary, and Accounting Clerk III, at the salary rate of WAPCO range 44, per annum;
SEC. 3.
