[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6468, June 17, 1972 ]

AN ACT DECLARING DAPITAN CITY A NATIONAL SHRINE CITY AND A TOURIST SPOT, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR,



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The City of Dapitan is hereby declared a National Shrine City and a tourist spot in the Philippines.

SEC. 2. The sum of two hundred and fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to improve, beautify and preserve the relics and shrine of Dr. Jose Rizal and as aid to the city government for the same purpose for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and seventy-three.  Thereafter, the said sum as is hereby appropriated shall be included in the General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 3. The Board of Tourist and Travel Agency shall accord priority to this project in the allocation of its funds or tourist parks development.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.  Enacted without Executive approval, June 17, 1972.
