[ Act No. 2329, February 23, 1914 ]

AN ACT AMENDING SECTION FOURTEEN OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY-FIVE, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO REGULATE THE PRACTICE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE AND SURGERY IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS," BY AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF VETERINARY EXAMINERS TO ISSUE WITHOUT EXAMINATION, CERTIFICATES FOR THE PRACTICE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE TO PERSONS WHO WERE QUALIFIED TO PRACTICE BEFORE THE RATIFICATION OF THE TREATY OF PEACE WITH SPAIN.

By authority of the  United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. Section fourteen of Act Numbered Twenty-two hundred and forty-five is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC 14. The board is further empowered to issue without prior examination a certificate to any person over twenty-one years of age who has heretofore taken  and passed a civil service examination as a veterinarian for service in the Government of the Philippine Islands, and the board is further authorized to issue without examination certificates to persons who are able to establish to the satisfaction of the board that under the laws in force prior to the ratification of the treaty of peace with Spain they were qualified and empowered to practice veterinary medicine in these Islands."
