AN ACT APPLYING THE PROVISIONS OF ACT NUMBERED TWO THOU-SAND AND SIXTY-ONE, AS AMENDED, TO THAT PART OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS UNDER THE LEGISLATIVE JURISDICTION OF THE PHILIPPINE LEGISLATURE, AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF EIGHTY-TWO THOUSAND PESOS TO BE ADDED TO THE REIMBURSABLE FUND CREATED BY SAID ACT FOR THE OPERATION OF THE SALES AGENCY.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. Act Numbered Two thousand and sixty-one, as amended, is hereby made applicable to that part of the Philippine Islands under the legislative jurisdiction of the Philippine Legislature.

SEC. 2. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of eighty-two thousand pesos, or so much thereof as the Sales Agency Board may deem necessary, which shall be added to the reimbursable fund created by section five of Act Numbered Two thousand and sixty-one, for the operation of the Sales Agency: Provided, however, That of said amount not to exceed thirty-two thousand pesos shall be expended for salaries and wages and contingent expenses of the Sales Agency during the new fiscal year nineteen hundred and fourteen.

SEC. 3. The Sales Agency Board is hereby authorized to discontinue the operations of the Sales Agency at any time it may deem such action advisable, and to wind up the affairs of the Sales Agency in such manner as may be deemed to be to the best interests of the Government, and thereupon all unexpended balances of funds appropriated for the Sales Agency, as well as all funds derived from the winding up of the business, shall be covered into the Insular Treasury to the credit of the general unappropriated surplus.

SEC. 4. This Sales Agency shall be understood to be abolished on and after January first, nineteen hundred and fifteen.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect as of January first, nineteen hundred and fourteen.
