[ BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 203, March 25, 1982 ]
AN ACT CREATING BARANGAY INDUSTRIAL VALLEY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIKINA, METRO MANILA.
SECTION 1. The Industrial Valley Subdivision Barangay Calumpang, Municipality of Marikina, Metro Manila, is hereby separated from said barangay and constituted into a distinct and independent barangay of said municipality to be known as Barangay Industrial Valley with the following technical description: "Beginning from the intersection of Marikina Diversion Road and A. Bonifacio Avenue thence southward along the center line of Marikina Diversion Road, until it intersects the center line of Marikma River; thence SW along the common boundary line of the Municipality of Marikina and Municipality of Pasig, Province of Rizal, until it intersects the common boundary line of the Municipality of Pasig and Quezon City; thence northward bounded by Quezon City until it intersects the point of beginning."
SEC. 2. The first officials of said barangay shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines and shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected or appointed and qualified.
SEC. 3. The new barangay shall exist when majority of the votes cast in a plebiscite to be conducted in the unit affected under the supervision of the Commission on Elections within six months from the effectivity of this Act favors the creation of Barangay Industrial Valley. The expenses for such plebiscite shall be defrayed by the Commission on Elections.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
