[ Act No. 1460, March 05, 1906 ]

AN ACT FOR THE RELIEF OF FRED J. SCHLOTFELDT, TREASURER OF THE PROVINCE OF CEBU.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of section forty-one of Act Numbered Fourteen hundred and two, the "Accounting Act," the Auditor for the Philippine Islands is hereby directed to credit the account of Fred J. Schlotfeldt, treasurer of the Province of Cebu, with the sum of four thousand eight hundred and eighty pesos, which sum was delivered by him to John S. Stevenson, a deputy treasurer of said province, to be exchanged for local currency account of the Insular Treasury, and was contained in a box lost by said Stevenson through the capsizing of a banca while he was en route from Argao to Dalaguete, in said province; and the Auditor is further directed to charge the amount of said g loss against the "gold-standard fund" of tho Insular Treasury, as contemplated by Acts Numbered Nine hundred and thirty-eight and Nine hundred and seventy.

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this hill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
