DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 3 TO 8, 2008 AS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING WEEK
WHEREAS, the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE), will hold its 33rd Annual National Convention on November 3 to 8, 2008 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Central Business Park, Pasay City;
WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the importance of the electrical engineering profession and highlight its role in nation building.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 3 to 8, 2008 as Electrical Engineering Week , under the auspices of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc.
I call upon all electrical engineers and students to give the observance of the week their full support.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
