AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED SEVEN HUNDRED AND NINE, ENTITLED "AN ACT PROHIBITING THE TRAFFIC IN INTOXICATING LIQUORS WITHIN ' CERTAIN DISTANCES OF LAND USED BY THE UNITED STATES FOR MILITARY PURPOSES AND AT CERTAIN CAMPS THEREIN NAMED," AS AMENDED BY ACTS NUMBERED SEVEN HUNDRED AND SIXTY AND ELEVEN HUNDRED AND SIXTY-NINE.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Section one of Act Numbered Seven hundred and nine, entitled "An Act prohibiting the traffic in intoxicating liquors within certain distances of land used by the United States for military purposes and at certain camps therein named," as amended by Acts Numbered Seven hundred and sixty and Eleven hundred and sixty-nine, is hereby so amended as to authorize the Governor-General in his discretion to except from the provisions of said Act as amended any of the places or localities therein named whenever the United States Army shall discontinue the maintenance of military garrisons thereat.

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
