AN ACT SO AMENDING SECTION NINE OF ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SIX AS TO INCREASE THE SALARIES OF THE JUDGES OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS TO TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS PER ANNUM.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Section nine of Act Numbered One hundred and thirty-six, entitled "An Act providing for the organization of courts in the Philippine Islands," is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
"SEC. 9. Salaries of the judges of the Supreme Court.—The annual salary of the Chief Justice and associate judges shall be ten thousand dollars, money of the United States, payable monthly."
SEC. 2. Any moneys appropriated for salaries and wages. Bureau of Justice, for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and five, by Act Numbered Twelve hundred and twenty-five, are hereby made available for payment of the salaries in this Act provided.

SEC. 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section, two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
