[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6083, August 04, 1969 ]
AN ACT CREATING FIVE POSITIONS OF ASSISTANT CITY FISCALS IN THE LAW DEPARTMENT IN THE CITY OF NAGA BY AMENDING THE CHARTER OF SAID CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and Home of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of Section twenty-four of Republic Act Numbered Three hundred five is amended to read as follows:
SEC. 2. The city fiscal and the assistant city fiscals shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments.
SEC. 3. The sum of fifty-one thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for salaries of the five assistant city fiscals for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-seven, after which their salaries shall be included in the General Appropriations Act for the succeeding fiscal years.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

"SEC. 24. The City Fiscal—His assistants—His powers and duties.—The law department shall consist of the city fiscal as head of the department, the first assistant city fiscal as assistant head, a second assistant city fiscal, a third assistant city fiscal, a fourth assistant city fiscal, a fifth assistant city fiscal, who shall receive salaries as provided for by law, which shall be paid by the National Government.
"The assistant city fiscals shall assist the city fiscal in the exercise of his powers and performance of his functions, and shall discharge such other duties as may be assigned to them by law or ordinances.
"The city fiscal shall be the chief legal adviser of the City and all offices and departments thereof. He shall have the following powers and duties:"
