AN ACT ESTABLISHING A BREEDING STATION AND STOCK FARM IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TUPI, PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. There shall be established under the direct supervision of the Director of Animal Industry a breeding-station and stock farm in the Municipality of Tupi, Province of South Cotabato, to be known as Tupi Breeding Station and Stock Farm.
SEC. 2. The Director of Animal Industry shall establish said breeding station and stock farm on a suitable public or private land of not less than twenty-five hectares that may be reserved or acquired for the purpose.
SEC. 3. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended by the Director of Animal Industry, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources for the purpose of breeding animals and stock farm; for the purchase of supplies and materials; for the construction of buildings, sheds, corrals, and other structures; for the establishment of water system; for salaries and wages; and for other expenses as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act for the fiscal year, nineteen hundred seventy. Such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the said breeding station in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
