[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3394, June 18, 1961 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE PALOMPON SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALOMPON, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.





Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. A national school of arts and trades, of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades type, to be known as the Palompon School of Arts and Trades, shall be established in the Municipality of Palompon, Province of Leyte. The said school shall be under the supervision of the Bureau of Public Schools and subject to existing laws on public education. Courses of secondary level shall be offered in the said school.

SEC. 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the said school during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-two. Thereafter, the necessary funds for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
