AN ACT EXTENDING THE FRANCHISE OF THE CEBU TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY TO INCLUDE THE PROVINCE OF CEBU
Be it enacted by the Senate and Home of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1. Authority is hereby granted to the Cebu Telephone and Telegraph Company, now operating in the municipality and Province of Cebu, to extend its lines of communication throughout the Province of Cebu, and lay, maintain, and operate cables in adjacent waters for the purpose of connecting with telephone systems on surrounding islands, under the same conditions stipulated in its present franchise, for a period of fifty years from the date this Act is approved.
SEC. 2. All local and long distance measured rates shall be subject to the approval of the Public Utility Commission.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
