[ LETTER OF INSTRUCTION NO. 56, February 19, 1973 ]

TO: The Chairman and Administrator
National Grains Authority
Quezon City

Due to the current world shortage of protein ingredients, resulting in increasing import prices, delayed shipments, thereby threatening the continuous availability of animal feeds, you are hereby instructed to:
  1. Import necessary quantities of ingredients, concentrates, and where available ready made animal feeds to arrive in the Philippines at the earliest possible tine but not later than May 1973.
  2. Whatever commodity is imported, to sell the same to the members of the Philippine Association of Feed Millers, Inc. and/ or bona fide members of swine and poultry raisers' cooperatives and/or associations.
Immediate and strict compliance with this Letter of Instruction is desired.

Done in the City of Manila, this 19th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-three.
