[ Act No. 902, September 25, 1903 ]
AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED EIGHT HUNDRED AND THIRTY-EIGHT, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE PROVINCIAL BOARDS TO MAKE CERTAIN PURCHASES TO ASSIST IN CARRYING INTO OPERATION THE PROVISIONS OF ACT NUMBERED SEVEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FOUR."
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:
SECTION 1. Section one of Act Numbered Eight hundred and thirty-eight, entitled "An Act to authorize provincial boards to make certain purchases to assist in carrying into operation the provisions of Act Numbered Seven hundred and seventy-four," is hereby amended by striking out the word "wooden" in the fifth line of said section, so that the section as amended shall read as follows:
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.

SECTION 1. Section one of Act Numbered Eight hundred and thirty-eight, entitled "An Act to authorize provincial boards to make certain purchases to assist in carrying into operation the provisions of Act Numbered Seven hundred and seventy-four," is hereby amended by striking out the word "wooden" in the fifth line of said section, so that the section as amended shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. The provincial board of any province organized under the Provincial Government Act is hereby authorized, out of any funds available for the general purposes of the provincial government, to purchase not exceeding two hundred and fifty pairs of wheels, with the corresponding axles and with tires of a width not less than two and one-half inches, and to sell the same in the province at the price of purchase, together with the expense of their transportation to the province, for the purpose of showing the inhabitants how Act Numbered Seven hundred and seventy-four can be properly complied with."SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
