[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4852, July 18, 1966 ]
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL CENTER IN SAPANG PALAY, MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, PROVINCE OF BULACAN, TO STUDY AND DEVISE SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS OF URBAN SQUATTING AND/OR FOR THE TRAINING, RELOCATION AND REHABILITATION OF URBAN SQUATTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established in Sapang Palay, Municipality of San Jose del Monte, Province of Bulacan, la national center to study and devise solutions to the problems of urban squatting and/or for the training, relocation and rehabilitation of urban squatters.
SEC. 2. The President of the Philippines shall, by executive orders, carry out the purpose of this Act. For the implementation of this Act, the President may authorize the Social Welfare Administration which shall have administrative control and supervision of the national center, to require the assistance of any governmental office, entity or subdivision.
SEC. 3. The sum of one million pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, annually for two years. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for the same purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act: Provided, That no portion of this amount shall be used for salaries or wages of government officials or employees serving in the political subdivision of Sapang Palay nor for public works or highways for this political subdivision.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
