[ Commonwealth Act No. 33, September 22, 1936 ]
AN ACT AUTHORIZING: THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES TO RECEIVE AND ACCEPT DONATIONS OF MONEY MADE FOR THE NATIONAL DEFENSE AND TO PRESCRIBE THE RULES AND REGULATIONS UNDER WHICH THE DONATED MONEY MAY BE EXPENDED BY THE PHILIPPINE ARMY.
Be it enacted by the Notional Assembly of the Philippines:
SECTION 1. The President of the Philippines is authorized to receive and accept donations of money, not subject to any onerous condition, made for the purpose of the national defense or support of the Philippine Army. Said donations, once accepted, shall be irrevocable. The President is also authorized to prescribe the rules and regulations under which the donated money may lie expended by the Philippine Army, without affecting in any way its yearly appropriation. Donations made for a specific purpose shall be expended or used only for that purpose.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
