[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5253, June 15, 1968 ]

AN ACT TO CONVERT THE BOHOL NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BILAR, PROVINCE OF BOHOL, INTO A COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS BOHOL AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE AND TO APPROPRIATE THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Bohol National Agricultural School lo­cated in the Municipality of Bilar, Province of Bohol, is hereby converted into a college to be known as Bohol Agricultural  College.

SEC. 2. The Bohol Agricultural College shall offer, in addition to the secondary agricultural curriculum, any or all of the following courses at the discretion of the Director of the Bureau of Vocational Education:
(a) Two-year technical agricultural course leading to the title of Associate in Agriculture;

(b) Four-year technical agricultural course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture;

(c) Four-year teacher education course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education.
SEC. 3. The Bohol Agricultural College shall be headed by a Superintendent of Agricultural Instruction and shall he under the Bureau of Vocational Education.

SEC. 4. The physical and financial assets, liabilities personnel, equipment, and records of the Bohol National Agricultural School stand transferred to the Bohol Agricultural College.

SEC. 5. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the operation and maintenance of the said college, in addition to the present national appropriation of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-nine. Thereafter, the necessary sum for said purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
