[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7809, September 16, 1994 ]
AN ACT DECLARING SEPTEMBER 14 OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SANCHEZ MIRA, PROVINCE OF CAGAYAN, TO BE KNOWN AS "ALDAW TI SANCHEZ MIRA"
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The Municipality of Sanchez Mira, Province of Cagayan, was founded on September 14, 1892 by the Spanish Governor General and the members of the Catholic hierarchy assigned thereat.
SEC. 2. September 14 of every year is hereby declared as a special nonworking holiday in the Municipality of Sanchez Mira, Province of Cagayan, to be known as "Aldaw ti Sanchez Mira."
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
Lapsed into law on September 16, 1994 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
