[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6946, April 05, 1990 ]
AN ACT MAKING THE DON JOSE SUSTIGUER MONFORT MEMORIAL NATIONAL SCHOOL A BRANCH OF THE WESTERN VISAYAS COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TO BE KNOWN AS THE DON JOSE SUSTIGUER MONFORT MEMORIAL NATIONAL COLLEGE (WESTERN VISAYAS COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BRANCH)
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The Don Jose Sustiguer Monfort Memorial National School is hereby made a branch of the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology to be known as the Don Jose Sustiguer Monfort Memorial National College (Western Visayas College of Science and Technology Branch).
SEC. 2. The said college shall offer such courses as are programmed under the charter of the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology, including automotive, electrical communications and computer courses.
SEC. 3. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall promulgate such rules and regulations to implement the provisions of this Act.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on January 31, 1990 and August 28, 1989, respectively.
