[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1561, June 16, 1956 ]

AN ACT TO CONVERT THE LEYTE TRADE SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF TACLOBAN TO A REGIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES, OF THE PHILIPPINE SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES TYPE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE LEYTE REGIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Leyte Trade School situated in the City of Tacloban is hereby converted to a regional school of arts and trades, of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades type, to be known as the Leyte Regional School of Arts and Trades.

SEC. 2. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is authorized, to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the Leyte Regional School of Arts and Trades during the school year nineteen hundred fifty-six to nineteen hundred fifty-seven. There after, the necessary sum for said purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Acts.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
