AN ACT TO CONVERT THE LA UNION TRADE SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PROVINCE OF LA UNION, INTO A REGIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES TO BE KNOWN AS THE LA UNION REGIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION l. The La Union Trade School in the municipality of San Fernando, Province of La Union, is hereby converted into a regional school of arts and trades of the Northern Luzon School of Arts and Trades type, to be known as the La Union Regional School of Arts and Trades. The said school shall be under the supervision the Bureau of Public Schools and subject to the provision of the School Law. Courses of collegiate and secondary levels shall be offered in the said school.

SEC. 2. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the expenses of the said school during the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, including the purchase of a suitable school site. In the succeeding years the operating expenses thereof shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
