[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9706, August 07, 2009 ]
AN ACT DECLARING SEPTEMBER 29 OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL NONWORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BALILIHAN, PROVINCE OF BOHOL
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. September 29 of every year as a special nonworking public holiday in the Municipality of Balilihan, province of Bohol to commemorate its Sumad Day or foundation anniversary.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days from its publication in the Official Gazette or in at least two (2) newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on December 3, 2008 and May 26, 2009, respectively.
