AN ACT NAMING A STRETCH OF THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY ALONG THE DAVAO ORIENTAL-SURIGAO COASTAL ROAD WHICH BEGINS AT THE BOUNDARY OF THE PROVINCES OF COMPOSTELA VALLEY AND DAVAO ORIENTAL UP TO THE BOUNDARY OF THE FIRST AND SECOND DISTRICTS OF THE PROVINCE OF DAVAO ORIENTAL AS THE PRES. DIOSDADO P. MACAPAGAL NATIONAL HIGHWAY
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. A Stretch of the national highway along the Davao Oriental-Surigao Coastal Road which begins at the boundary of the provinces of Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental at Barangay Pintatagan, Municipality of Banaybanay traversing the municipalities of Lupon and San Isidro up to the boundary of the First and Second Districts of the Province of Davao Oriental at Barangay Mayo in the City of Mati, Province of Davao Oriental shall hereinafter be known as the Pres. Diosdado P. Macapagal National Highway.
SEC. 2. The Department of Public Works and Highways shall issue the necessary rules, orders and circulars to implement the provision of this Act.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on December 3, 2008 and May 25, 2009, respectively.
