[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7893, February 20, 1995 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE GOVERNOR TEOFILO SISON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN DAGUPAN CITY INTO A THREE HUNDRED (300)-BED CAPACITY MEDICAL CENTER TO BE KNOWN AS THE REGION I MEDICAL CENTER, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The existing Governor Teofilo Sison Memorial Hospital in Dagupan City is hereby converted into a medical center, correspondingly increasing its bed capacity to 300 beds under the supervision of the Department of Health, to be known as Region I Medical Center.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of Health shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on December 12, 1994 and February 15, 1995, respectively.
