The Armed Forces of the Philippines every now and then has to ship for repaid abroad military equipment such as aircraft, aircraft engines, navy ships, ships' engines, components, accessories, parts and other equipment due to the absence of repair capability incountry. In most cases the delay in securing the required government export clearances for the shipment of these military items impairs the operational readiness of the Armed Forces of the Philippines to perform its defense mission. Henceforth, the Armed Forces of the Philippines is hereby authorized to export for repair abroad, all such military equipment and major accessories and parts without, the need of securing expert clearance from any agency of the government.
Done in the City of Manila, this 5th day of October, in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-three.
