AN ACT MAKING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUNDRY EXPENSES OF THE INSULAR GOVERNMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED DECEMBER THIRTY-FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN, AND OTHER PERIODS HEREIN SPECIFIED.
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as may be respectively necessary, are hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, in part compensation for the service of the Insular Government for the fiscal year ended December thirty-first, nineteen hundred fifteen, and other periods herein specified:
PHILIPPINE ASSEMBLY.
For the sum necessary to cover the deficit in the appropriation of the Philippine Assembly for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and fourteen ....... P17,376.94
PRIVATE SECRETARIES TO THE RESIDENT COMMISSIONERS TO THE UNITED STATES.
For the sum necessary to cover the deficit in the appropriation for traveling expenses of the private secretaries to the
Resident Commissioners to the United States for the year nineteen hundred and fourteen 354.42
EXECUTIVE.
For payment to Captain A. F. Commiskey for forage of horses and other incidental expenses authorized by army regulations for cavalry officers of the United States Army, forfeited by him on account of his being detailed as aide-de-camp to the Governor-General from October first, nineteen hundred and fourteen to December thirty-first,
nineteen hundred and fifteen 215.56
PHILIPPINE CONSTABULARY.
Consumption of supplies and materials.
Materials purchased in previous years and charged to equipment which should properly be charged to consumption of
supplies and materials 27,000.00
INSULAR TREASURY.
For the payment of the salaries of additional guards employed in the Insular Treasury from July 1st to December 31st, 1915, as follows:
One sergeant of the guard, at 2,700 per annum..................51,350.00
Three guards, at P2,400 per annum each 3,600.00
Three guards, at P600 per annum each........................ 900.00
Total for salaries and wages ................................ 5,850.00
Contingent expenses: Light and power service . 600.00
Total for Insular Treasury...................... 6,450.00
BUREAU OF PRISONS.
For reimbursement of the sums charged to "Accounts receivable," appertaining to the maintenance of opium prisoners during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and fourteen 23,423.12
CITY OF MANILA.
For reimbursement to the city of Manila of the accrued leave of the chief of police of Cavite, whose salary was paid by the Insular Government until December 31st, 1914 1,230.00
GENERAL PURPOSES.
For the reimbursement to the appropriation for general purposes for the fiscal year 1915 of the sums expended by authorization of the Governor-General for the entertainment of the members of the United States Congress who visited the Philippine Islands, including expenses incurred by the Department of Mindanao and Sulu for the same purposes 23,698.65
For reimbursement to the appropriation for general purposes for the fiscal year 1915 of sums disbursed upon authorization by the Governor-General to relieve the victims of the typhoons of 1915. 19,133.90
Total of appropriations for the purposes of this Act 118,882.59
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
