Under Section 3005 (k) of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, as amended by PD No. 34, all "Coastwise cargo, discharged at a national port, whether a port of entry or not, which remains on the government pier, wharf or other customs premises for more than two (2) working days after discharge of all consignments from the carrying vessel shall pay a storage of P1.50 per ton per day, or part thereof. * * * *"
However, rice and corn shipments shall be granted additional two (2) calendar days free of storage.
This Letter of Instructions shall take effect immediately.
