[ Act No. 2696, March 09, 1917 ]
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND PESOS, OR SO MUCH THEREOF AS MAY BE NECESSARY, FOR THE PURCHASE, INSTALLATION, AND OPERATION OF TWO MACHINES FOR THE PROMOTION OF THE MAGUEY INDUSTRY.
.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1. For the purpose of promoting the maguey industry, there is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of thirty-five thousand pesos, for the purchase, operation during the first year, and any other additional expenses that may be necessary in connection with the installation of two maguey-cleaning machines, to be managed by the Director of Agriculture, subject to the direction and control of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
