AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF A COMPETENT PERSON TO CARE FOR PHILIPPINE COMMERCIAL INTERESTS IN AMERICA.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1. The Governor-General is hereby authorized to employ a competent person under a three-year contract, to cooperate with the Resident Commissioners, the Bureau of Insular Affairs of the War Department, United States of America, and such other agencies as have been or may hereafter be created by the Philippine Government to care for Philippine commercial interests in the United States. The person so employed shall receive as compensation the sum of twelve thousand pesos, Philippine currency, per annum, payable at the end of each month. The necessary expenses for carrying out the purposes of this Act while in force and effect shall be provided annually in the Appropriation Act.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on January first, nineteen hundred and twenty-nine. Approved,
