[ COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 695, October 15, 1945 ]

AN ACT CREATING A BUREAU OF LABOR UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There is hereby created a bureau to be known as the Bureau of Labor under the administrative supervision and control of the Department of Labor.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of Labor, with the approval of the President, is hereby authorized to transfer from his Department to the Bureau of Labor such personnel, equipment, appropriation and records as, in his opinion are essential to the proper functioning of said bureau.

SEC. 3. The sum of forty thousand two hundred pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of the funds of the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the salaries of the Director of Labor at seven thousand two hundred pesos per annum;five labor agents at two thousand four hundred pesos each, or twelve thousand pesos per annum; five labor agents at one thousand eight hundred pesos each, or nine thousand per annum; and ten labor agents at one thousand two hundred pesos each, or twelve thousand pesos per annum, respectively.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
