[ Act No. 987, November 07, 1903 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED NINE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-ONE, ENTITLED "AN ACT REDUCING THE TWENTY, MUNICIPALITIES OF THE PROVINCE OF ANTIQUE TO ELEVEN."

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Act Numbered Nine hundred and sixty-one, entitled "An Act reducing the twenty municipalities of the Province of Antique to eleven," is hereby amended as follows:

(a) By striking out the word "twenty" in the title of said Act and where it occurs in the first line of section one, and inserting in lieu thereof the word "twenty-one."

(b) By striking out of paragraph eight of section one of said Act the words "and that of the municipality of Antique," and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "and that of the municipalities of Antique and Guintas," so that said paragraph shall read as follows:
"8. The municipality of San Jose de Buenavista shall consist of its present territory and that of the municipalities of Antique and Guintas and that part of the present municipality of San Pedro lying on the left bank of the Sibalom River, with the seat of the municipal government, at the present municipality of San Jose de Buenavista."
SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
