AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TEN THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF THE BENGUET ROAD.
Whereas, due to the rainy season, it has been impossible to complete the Naguilian Road until the present time and it will be impossible to open it until February or March of nineteen hundred and fifteen; and
Whereas Baguio and the Mountain Province will be practically cut off from communication with the rest of the world unless a small appropriation is made for the maintenance and repair of the Benguet Road: Now, therefore,
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:
SECTION 1. The sum of ten thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended in the discretion of the Secretary of Commerce and Police for the maintenance and repair of the Benguet Road: Provided, That after the opening of the Naguilian Road all unexpended balances of this appropriation shall revert to the Insular Treasury.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
