[ Act No. 202, August 13, 1901 ]
AN ACT AMENDING ACT NUMBERED SIXTY-ONE, AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A HIGHWAY FROM POZORRUBIO TO BAGUIO IN THE PROVINCE OF BENGUET AND REPEALING ACT NUMBERED SIXTY-EIGHT SUPPLEMENTARY THERETO.
By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:
SECTION 1. Section one of Act Numbered Sixty-one is hereby amended by striking out the words "Military Governor" in line five and substituting therefor the words "Civil Governor" and by striking out the words "Captain Charles W. Mead, Thirty-sixth Infantry, United States Volunteers, who has been detailed by the Military Governor for that purpose" and substituting therefor the words "a civil engineer to be appointed by him."
SEC. 2. The Civil Governor shall have power to appoint or designate a disbursing officer to disburse the funds appropriated and unexpended for the construction of the Benguet road, and the location of the railroad survey.
SEC. 3. Act Numbered Sixty-eight is hereby repealed.
SEC. 4. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
