[ Act No. 2910, March 23, 1920 ]

AN ACT AMENDING SECTION ONE OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY, ENTITLED "AN ACT ESTABLISHING AND REGULATING TRADING SYSTEMS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MINDANAO AND SULU"EXTENDING ITS PROVISIONS TO THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE AND NUEVA VIZCAYA, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. Section one of Act Numbered Twenty-six hundred and sixty, entitled "An Act establishing and regulating trading systems in the Department of Mindanao and Sulu," is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1. The Mountain Province, the Provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Agusan, Bukidnon, Cotabato, Davao, Lanao, Zamboanga, and Sulu may severally establish trading storse or exhanges to be known as trading systems to facilitate the production and sale of the products of local Agriculture and industry, or their exchange for needed merchandise, and to extend the commercial relations of the mohammedans and pagans with christian elements of population. There may be operated in connection therewith public markets, stores, workshops, transportation lines and such  other public utilities as may be helpful in carrying on the said trading system. Subject to the approval of the Secretary of the Interior, said provinces may, through the instrumentality of their trading systems, promote, organize, operate, and liquidate corporations, or invest part of their funds in such corporations, for the purpose ofd promoting agriculture and industries, when such course will best promote the general welfare, especially with reference to food production, cattle-breeding and agricultural development."
