[ PROCLAMATION NO. 67, November 12, 2010 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2010 AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BASILAN, FIRST LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT OF BULACAN AND IN CERTAIN AREAS/MUNICIPALITIES IN LANAO DEL SUR, NAMELY: TUGAYA, KAPAI, BUADIPOSO-BUNTONG, MARANTAO, CALANOGAS, GANASSI LUMBATAN, AND PAGAYAWAN FOR THE CONDUCT OF SPECIAL ELECTIONS



WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) en banc promulgated on Septemeber 15, 2010, Resolution No. 10-0906, resetting the schedule of the holding of Special Elections form October 2, 2010 to November 13, 2010;

WHEREAS, COMELEC Resolution No. 9072 dated October 21, 2010 set the date for the special Elections in the Province of Basilanb, First Legislative District of Bulacan and in certain areas in Lanao del Sur on November 13, 2010;

WHEREAS, Special Elections shall be conducted in the following municipalities in Lanao del Sur, namely: Tugaya, Kapai, Buaduposo-Buntong, Marantao, Calanogas, Ganassi, Lumbatan and Pagayawan;

WHEREAS, Memorandum Order No. 82, delegating to the Executive Secretary the signing/approval of all proclamations declaring any local special day/holiday for a particular date, group or place requiring the President ™s approval.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR. , Executive Secretary by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby proclaim:

SECTION 1. Saturday, November 13, 2010, as a special non-working holiday in the Province of Basilan, First Legislative District of Bulacan and in certain areas/municipalities in Lanao del Sur, namely Tugaya, Kapai, Buadiposo-Buntong, Marantao, Calanogas, Ganassi, Lumbatan and Pagayawan for the conduct of special elections.
