AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION EIGHT HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-SEVEN HUNDRED AND ELEVEN, KNOWN AS THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, PROVIDING ADDITIONAL PAY FOR OFFICERS OF THE PHILIPPINE CONSTABULARY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1. Section eight hundred and forty-six of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Administrative Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 3. Such sum or sums as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act are hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated.

SECTION 1. Section eight hundred and forty-six of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Administrative Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 846. Quarters in kind—Additional pay of officers.— Officers of the Philippine Constabulary shall be entitled to quarters in kind. In addition to the pay provided by law for the officers of the Philippine Constabulary, there shall be allowed and paid to each of such officers an increase of ten per centum of his current annual pay for each term of five years of faithful and efficient service: Provided, That the total amount of such increase shall not exceed forty per centum of the yearly pay of the grade as provided by law. In computing length of service for the purposes of the compensation, commissioned officers who have served as enlisted men shall be credited with the time so served."SEC. 2. This Act shall have retroactive effect as of October first, nineteen hundred and seventeen, for all officers of the Philippine Constabulary at present in active service.
SEC. 3. Such sum or sums as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act are hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
