[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7950, March 25, 1995 ]
AN ACT DECLARING DECEMBER EIGHTEEN OF EVERY YEAR AS "ARAW NG LAGUNA" AND A SPECIAL WORKING DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LAGUNA AND THE CITY OF SAN PABLO TO COMMEMORATE THE MEMORY AND DEATH OF THE LATE GOVERNOR FELICISIMO T. SAN LUIS
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. Governor Felicisimo T. San Luis was regarded as the father of the agro-industrial development of Laguna. He pioneered the promotion of family planning; increased rice production variety in cooperation with the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI); worked for the establishment of hundreds of industries in the first and second districts of the province; and sustained economic and improved infrastructures in Laguna.
SEC. 2. December eighteen of every year is hereby declared as "Araw ng Laguna" and a special working day in the Province of Laguna and the City of San Pablo to commemorate the memory and death of the late Governor Felicisimo T. San Luis.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on September 27, 1994 and January 16, 1995, respectively.
